Faculty of Education at Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) Organizes a Training Workshop Entitled: “Authentic Classroom Assessment: Contemporary Perspectives and Trends”.
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance academic performance and strengthen educational competencies, and under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dato’ Dr. Saeed Nuefa’ Al-Raddadi Al-Hazmi, Vice Chancellor Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU), and in coordination with the University’s Center for Training and Consultation, the Faculty of Education organized a specialized training workshop on Wednesday, 8 May 2025, titled: “Authentic Classroom Assessment: Contemporary Perspectives and Trends”.
The session was conducted via Google Meet and delivered by Dr. Najwa Ali Gharib, Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
🎯 Workshop Objectives:
The workshop aimed to empower participants with the skills of authentic classroom assessment and how to utilize its outcomes to enhance teaching and learning processes in accordance with modern educational approaches and perspectives.

- Presenting the modern vision of educational assessment.
- Explaining the interrelationship between curriculum, assessment, and learning, along with definitions of related key terms.
- Foundations, principles, and steps for planning authentic classroom assessment.
- Key transformations and contemporary trends in classroom assessment practices.
- Strategies and tools for authentic assessment, supported by practical and applicable models.
👥 Target Audience:
The workshop was attended by university faculty members, students, and a number of educational leaders, including school principals and educational supervisors, who actively engaged with the content and discussions throughout the session.
