How to Analyze and Synthesize Literature Review: From Concept to Application

The Faculty of Education at Al-Madinah International University Organizes a Training Workshop Entitled: “How to Analyze and Synthesize Literature Review: From Concept to Application”

As part of its ongoing efforts to support research skills among undergraduate and postgraduate students, and under the generous patronage of the Director of Al-Madinah International University, Dato’ Dr. Saeed Bin Noweifa Al-Hazmi, the Faculty of Education at AL-Madinah International University, Malaysia, in collaboration with the University’s Training and Consultation Centre, organized a specialized training workshop entitled: “How to Analyze and Synthesize Literature Review: From Concept to Application”. The workshop was held on Sunday, 22 June 2025, at 3:00 PM (Mecca Time) via Google Meet. The session was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Yasmine Shafie, aiming to develop participants’ skills in understanding, analyzing, organizing, and methodologically writing the literature review in a practical and applicable way that enhances the quality of their academic writing.

🎯 General Objective of the Workshop:

To equip participants with the necessary skills to analyze and synthesize literature reviews in a structured, scholarly manner that strengthens the theoretical framework of educational research.

📌 Specific Objectives:

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

• Understand the linguistic and terminological definitions of the literature review.
• Realize the significance of literature review in scientific research.
• Acquire methodological skills for analyzing and reviewing previous studies.
• Organize and document literature reviews using illustrative tables.
• Select relevant and related studies that align with their research topics.
