Welcome to all,

Greetings from us at the Faculty of Education, Al-Madinah International University. We are located in the beautiful campus of Desa Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, We create learning environments that are conducive for an optimum learning experience.

Al-Madinah University takes pride that it has been ‘reaching out’ to the world by being one of the pioneers in the country on using an online mode of education. Beginning with its first establishment in 2007 and its first student intake in February 2008. Al-Madinah has now reached 96 countries worldwide as reflected by its students’ nationalities.

The Faculty of Education was established in 2010. The faculty currently offers a number of academic programs at the Postgraduate level (Masters and PhD) via on campus and online mode. The programs are, Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Foundations, and Educational Psychology, Doctor of Philosophy in Education for Curriculum and Instruction, Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Foundations, all obtained full accreditation from the Malaysian Qualification Agency, the authority on ensuring quality education in Malaysia. In addition, there is also the Postgraduate Diploma in Education program by online mode which is an almost equivalent to a Master’s degree awarded by Malaysian universities.

The Faculty also offers two bachelor-level programs via distance learning mode as follows: Bachelor of Education in Teaching Arabic and Bachelor of Education in Islamic studies.

We have more than 120 alumni and they are seen in various government and private institutions. Though our graduates are ready to serve schools as teachers, many of our alumni have found their way to various public and private sectors, holding top executive positions as leaders in the education field. We are also proud of our alumni who can be found everywhere around the globe, positioned in various international and multinational organizations.

Teacher Education has very challenging agenda now with the coming of a new era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 of high technology and digital classrooms being the current most talked about in educational arena everywhere. The Faculty of Education wants to be the champion in this endeavor promoting its technological approach via online education for all. For example, the faculty has design its Postgraduate Diploma of Education, online, to take up this endeavor. Teachers who are teaching fulltime can enroll in this program without any worries of upsetting their work schedules.

Besides technology, the faculty is also clear on its vision of educating students towards realizing their highest human potential, i.e. in serving humanity as a whole.  The faculty vision to be a leading international center that promotes a wide range of knowledge in its various aspects to serve humanity is highlighted. This vision will be carried out by using the best means and learning method, consistent with the international level of excellence, and by creating conducive educational and research environments for knowledge seekers all over the world so they may serve society and preserve ethical values. These are our pledges to the world.

In facing the world of many natural calamities, uncertainties about future sufficiency of natural resources, and eroding social values. The Faculty of Education at Al-Madinah University wants to call upon its partners in education to collaborate in upholding its education principles in preserving basic ethical human values so that students will not only be knowledgeable and specialists in their fields but will also have the commitment to ensure the survival of the next generations. Indeed, it is one of the unique center of reference for modern universities. Because at our University, the criteria for measuring achievement is not only based on the criteria of the “World-Class University” but more importantly we also include the criteria of a “Hereafter-Class University”. This is most important to us as Muslims, because our target is not only happiness in this world but also more importantly happiness in hereafter, In-Sha-Allah.
